 | This is a close up of detail from my new piece which will be exhibited at the Weaver's Gallery in Ledbury to coincide with the poetry festival there at the end of June. The brief this year is Shakespeare influenced. I have taken the idea of reveal and conceal and Midsummer Night's Dream and have printed, painted and stitched a woodland background with hidden wing shapes and hints of activity among the trees. I've used velvet again, which I love using, silk organza and embroidered scrim as a cobweb- like curtain. |
